We often get the question, do I have an ignition with with or without pick-up?
Below is an overview of a Tomos electric ignition with and without pick-up module. With the ignition without pick-up you can set the moped position manually. You can read how to do this here.
What is a pick-up modul?
The pick-up module on a Tomos ignition registers the position of the crankshaft by detecting magnetic field changes. It generates an electrical signal that determines the exact timing for igniting the fuel mixture. This signal is transmitted to the ignition module, which controls the spark plug to provide a spark at the right time. This ensures accurate ignition timing, ensuring efficient and reliable engine operation.
